Fees — NorthBridge

NorthBridge doesn't set or charge its own exchange fee. Every rate you see in the widget is quoted directly by our processing partner and already includes their service and network costs — what you're quoted is what you get.

How swaps are priced

The rate shown for a given pair is generated by the processing partner's own pricing engine, which sources liquidity across multiple venues. NorthBridge does not add a markup on top of that rate.

Fixed vs. floating rate

Depending on the option selected in the widget:

Floating rate — the final amount you receive is calculated at the moment your deposit is confirmed, so it can move slightly from the initial quote if the market moves in the meantime.
Fixed rate — the quoted amount is locked for a short window, typically to give you time to send your deposit without price movement affecting the outcome. Fixed-rate quotes may carry a marginally wider spread to account for that guarantee.

Network fees

Blockchain network fees vary with congestion and are outside anyone's direct control, including the processing partner's. These are already factored into the quoted rate rather than charged separately at send time.

Do we earn anything?

NorthBridge may receive a referral commission from the processing partner for transactions initiated through this site, via an affiliate arrangement. This commission is paid by the processing partner out of their own margin — it is not an additional charge to you, and it doesn't change your quoted rate.

Transparency note — we disclose this because undisclosed referral arrangements are a common source of distrust in this space. What you see quoted in the widget is what you pay.
