Trading and exchanging cryptocurrency carries substantial risk. This page summarizes the key risks you should understand before using the Service. Read it alongside our Terms of Service.
Cryptocurrency assets are highly volatile and speculative. You could lose some or all of the value you exchange. Only transact with funds you can afford to lose.
Crypto asset prices can move significantly between the moment a rate is quoted and the moment your transaction settles, particularly for floating-rate swaps. The amount you receive may differ from what was initially indicated if network conditions or market prices shift during processing.
Blockchain transactions cannot be cancelled or reversed once broadcast. If you send funds to an incorrect address, send the wrong asset for the selected network, or make any other input error, those funds may be unrecoverable. Always double-check addresses and network selections before confirming a transaction.
Your swap is executed by our Processing Partner, not by NorthBridge. This means NorthBridge has no direct control over execution speed, uptime, or settlement of your transaction, and cannot independently intervene once a transaction has been submitted. Outages, delays, or errors on the Processing Partner's side are outside our control.
Nothing on this site is investment, legal, or tax advice. Indicative rates shown are not a recommendation to transact. You are responsible for your own research and decisions.
Crypto assets exchanged through this Service are not covered by deposit insurance (such as FDIC or equivalent schemes) and are not guaranteed by NorthBridge or any government body.
Blockchain networks can experience congestion, forks, or outages that delay or affect transactions. Network fees are variable and outside NorthBridge's control.
The regulatory treatment of cryptocurrency varies by jurisdiction and continues to evolve. Changes in law could affect your ability to use the Service or the tax treatment of your transactions. You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to you.
If you hold your own wallet keys, you are solely responsible for securing them. NorthBridge cannot recover lost seed phrases, private keys, or funds sent to an address you no longer control. Be alert to phishing attempts impersonating NorthBridge, our Processing Partner, or "support" — we will never ask you to send additional funds to unlock, verify, or complete a transaction.
By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood these risks and accept them as a condition of using the Service.
